People Mover: The city’s bus system has a weekly ridership of about 14,000 residents, moving around on a fleet of 50 buses.
AnchorRides: This ride service was created specifically for seniors and the disabled members of the community. These smaller buses can be booked to pick you up at your door or drop you off at a variety of destinations.

Downtown Anchorage Real Estate Market
Anchorage is a popular place to live, coming in at just over 100,000 residents— nearly half of the state’s population! The local real estate market gives buyers their choice of single-family homes, many built in the 1960s and ‘70s, as well as dozens of apartments due to the number of seasonal residents and students. Other options include condominiums and smaller properties as you near the city center.

Since properties can vary greatly throughout Anchorage, it is always wise to consult a real estate agent to assist with your home search.
